Heartbreaking...

D... look at your car!! :(

above pic is looking at the fire approaching
the foothills across the freeway from our home.

this was the scene shortly after the winds
started up again. I shot this over the fence
of my neighbors home.

our sycamore tree bathed in the most
eery light, this is about five in the afternoon,
look how dark it is....

I just dont' even know how you begin
to write about such a devastating event
such as our community is experiencing.
Last night in the words of the
Fire chief "all hell broke loose"
Yesterday afternoon after another
false alarm that the fire was under
control the temperatures went from 85 to
101!! The Santa Anas reared it's ugly
head and off the fire went this time in
our direction. While not in any imminent
danger, we are on mild alert and prepared
to leave if necessary. the next few hours are
crucial, it's definitely not as hot or windy as yesterday
but that's what happened the past two
days, it's as if this fire takes a huge deep breath
and then exhales starting fires everywhere.
Please pray for Santa Barbara!
